Grease Traps in Miami

We value our customers and offer full pump outs on a frequency that is convenient for the customer while also considering the requirements set by the utilities department and city ordinances.
The frequencies of these pump outs are based on the volume of grease produced at each location. Chicken grease becomes solid very quickly and is substantial in volume. Allowing the fats to accumulate causes the fats and oils to flow into the city's sanitary sewer system. These fats cause overflows, coat city pipes, manholes wet wells and other facilities. In addition, the fats eventually flow into wastewater treatment plants and disrupt operations.

Pump Outs Unlimited will maintain your Lift Station!

The best way to avoid problems is to consistently keep an eye on your lift station. Get to

know it and what to expect from it. Once this is done, you can spot troubles before they blow
out of proportion.

The most important thing to do to care for your lift station is to read and record the hour
meters every day, at the same time. A calendar or log book works great for this. Record both the
total hours and daily total by subtracting the previous day’s total from the current day’s hours. If
everything is working correctly, the pumps will have pumped the same number of hours each
day because they alternate. Get to know how many hours to expect because this will indicate
problems down the road if the numbers are off. Hour meters in all of Aqua Engineering systems
turn off when the pump turns off for any reason. Because of this, if there is a difference in the

hours between the pumps, the pump with the least hours is likely to be the problem pump.

Lift station Sewer System

Sewage lift stations are a necessary component in most wastewater systems. These stations

provide the pumping necessary to raise liquids from lower elevations to higher elevations. Due
to the environmental impact of SSOs, lift station pumping must be reliable and continuous –
including the ability to respond to varying flow demands regardless of day, hour, or availability
of electricity.

Call our office at 305.620.7005 for any service for your lift station.

Our wonderful staff will help you.

Grease trap Quarterly Maintanace

Grease is a leading cause of sanitary sewer overflows. And when it happens, it disrupts your business and can have a long-lasting impact on your hard-earned reputation. Sewer backup can also increase health risks and pollute our water supply.

We prevent these disruptions by regularly cleaning your grease traps. In addition, we “jet” related flow pipes to prevent untreated wastewaters from entering our neighborhoods and waterways. This not only protects your business and the environment, it reduces your liabilities and costs by preventing costly clean-ups from blockages and overflows.
If you would like us to do this service for you please give us a call at 305.620.7005!

Lift station pump out

Sewage lift stations/pump stations may be used as a matter of economics or to overcome inadequate hydraulic head when it is obvious that no other solution is practical. For instance, it may be more economical to utilize a sewage pump station to pump or lift the sewage over a ridge and let it flow by gravity to a sewage treatment plant, or to elevate sewage to pass through a sewage treatment system by gravity.

We love lift stations!

Crucial Steps for Maintaining your lift Station:
  1. Wet wells should be pumped out and cleaned at least twice a year, or more often if necessary, to prevent solids and grease build-up. Build-up of solids can create gases that can damage the pump, or sink and get caught in the impeller.
  2. Inspection of submersible pumps should be performed quarterly. Inspection of the impeller should be performed quarterly or when motor hours are not within specifications. The inspections would assure that the impeller is free of debris or any other clogging material.
  3. Inspection and greasing of the check valves should be performed at least twice a year to insure proper working order and to prevent back-flow from the force main to the wet well.
  4. Cleaning and inspections of floats four times a year assure proper performance. The buildup of grease prevents floats from working properly.
  5. Inspection of the light and alarm systems should be performed weekly. An alarm system in working order can alert you to problems immediately.
