Let Pump Outs Unlimited do your SSES Plan A report and Plan B report.

The first step in any successful SSES is to perform flow monitoring. This flow data can be utilized to either determine if there is sufficient capacity for service expansion or to identify areas with high levels of I/I For an I/I study the flow data can pinpoint the areas with the highest levels of I/I so that more precise field testing can be performed to identify specific locations of storm water intrusion. This approach leads to reduced costs and a more effective remediation plan.

Lift stations, also called pumping stations, contain pumps, valves, and electrical equipment necessary to move liquids (usually water, wastewater, or sewage) from low to high elevation. They may be used to overcome inadequate head, to provide easy-to-install pumping solutions, or to provide economic alternatives to other pumping options. For example, wastewater may be transported by elevating it first (using a lift station) and letting it flow through a system by gravity. This may be more economical than installing pumps to move the fluid in the system itself.

Can I Add Any Cleaning Products to My Grease Trap to Help it Clear Faster?

The answer is simple....No.  Never add bleach, emulsifiers, enzymes or any other chemical to the grease trap.  These agents harm the natural bacteria that eat grease and oils in grease traps. Bacteria consume fat, oil and grease in the trap, turning them into water and carbon dioxide.

The sure fire way to maintain your grease trap is peak working condition is proper maintenance.
Call us today and we can send you a free, no obligation proposal for grease trap maintenance.

Need a new grease trap installed? We do that too!! Call us today! (305) 620-7005

Why might I need an SSES?

Well we made it through Labor Day Weekend!! Now back to the grind. The deadline extension for the SSES's is fast approaching! How do you know if you need one?! If you own an Apt Building, or any commercial property...you fall under this category! An SSES is merely an evaluation of the lines under your property that lead to The County system and this test is only required once every ten years. A smoke test is performed to make sure that there are no cracks or leaks in the pipes. What happens if I need an SSES but don't get it done? Well if the deadline passes and your property has not turned in an SSES report, you''ll be looking at a hefty fine from The County so call us today!!

Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Survey (SSES),

The term raw sewage doesn't exactly send visions of sugar plum fairies dancing through our minds, but in fact its maintenance is an intricate part of maintaining public health safety.

The sanitary sewer evaluation survey is intended to locate and correct excessive infiltration and inflow into the sewer lines. This survey is one of several actions required by the County Code to prevent such problems.

Here at Pump Outs Unlimited we pride ourselves not only on keeping in compliance with all state, local and federal regulations, but we are also well versed in additional requirements that may have not been included in the previous cycle.

An early start on your part will help ensure that you will meet the SSES requirements before the deadline extension runs out, so contact us TodaY!!!

FUN FACTS

Miami Dade County, Fla.

Since 1994, the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (W.A.S.A) has engaged in an extensive sanitary sewer system evaluation and rehabilitation program in an effort to reduce system infiltration, ex-filtration and inflow (I/E/I).

Under the I/E/I Program, the entire sanitary sewer collection system, which represents approximately 12.9 million ft of gravity sewer lines and 58,000 manholes, was evaluated by July 1997. The sewer evaluation consisted of cleaning and televising 100 percent of the gravity lines, the visual inspection of each manhole and the smoke testing of the entire system to identify defects. A total of 32,194 defects were identified and repaired. The I/E/I Program has been highly successful with system flows to the regional treatment facilities reduced by approximately 100 mgd. Although the system-wide infiltration was greatly reduced, rainfall dependent infiltration/inflow (RDII) and the various pump station force main improvements have continued to increase the peak flows to the treatment facilities during heavy rainfall.
