Drains Drains Drains
Storm drains should be free of debris to allow proper water flow away from homes and businesses, especially during times of heavy or sustained rain. The storm drains direct rainwater to the groundwater system, so chemicals, paint and other toxic substances should never be poured into a storm drain.

Cleaning service of Lift Stations. Call us 305.620.7005!
Cleaning.....Cleaning is required when you start to see grease caking up on walls or floats. Once you see the first signs of grease floating in your lift station you need to start monitoring your lift station regularly to determine a cleaning schedule. Many apartment complexes find that a 90 day cleaning schedules keeps them from having problems. Others prefer to wait until a plumber is out fixing burned up pumps. Servicing your equipment regularly prevents problems! What to look for when lift station is clean.Your lift station should be free of grease and debris on the bottom. Your equipment, floats and rails should be pressure washed and cleaned. If you are available you should inspect the bottom to make sure all of the debris is removed from the floor. We provide pictures of the clean lift station if you are not available to look at it. Call us at 305.620.7005!

What are lift stations used for?
Lift Stations
Sewage lift/pump stations are used for pumping wastewater or sewage from a lower to higher elevation, particularly where the elevation of the source is not sufficient for gravity flow and/or when the use of gravity conveyance will result in excessive excavation and higher construction costs.
If you are in need of any services for your lift station, give us a call at 305.620.7005.
We will send you a formal proposal for the service!

Storm Drain cleaning and maintenance services to both Commercial & Residential customers.
There are different storm drain system structures out there. Some of those structures include, Catch Basins, French Drains, Injection Wells, Slab Covered Tranches, Retention Boxes and Soakage Pits. Each of these structures serves a purpose in a drainage system, and needs to be maintained in order to ensure proper functioning of the system as a whole. Neglect or improper maintenance will lead to flooding of the property and even to the reduction of the useful life of the drainage system.
Pump Outs Unlimited provides Storm Drain cleaning and maintenance services to both Commercial & Residential customers. Give us a call at 305.620.7005!

Call us for your Smoke Testing!
Plumbing smoke tests are designed to force non-toxic, artificially created smoke through waste and drain pipes under a slight pressure to find leaks.
This test can be performed when the plumbing is brand new, but more often it is used to find sewer gas leaks that may plague a building or an area. Sewer gas typically has a rotten egg smell and can contain methane gas, which is explosive, or hydrogen sulfide gas, which is deadly.
Call us now for a Free estimate at 305.620.7005! Pump Outs Unlimited is here to help YOU!

All about lift stations!
WHAT ARE LIFT STATIONS?
Waste-water lift stations are facilities designed to move waste-water from lower to higher elevation, particularly where the elevation of the source is not sufficient for gravity flow and/or when the use of gravity conveyance will result in excessive excavation depths and high sewer construction costs.
Lift stations are used to reduce the capital cost of sewer system construction. When gravity sewers are installed in trenches deeper than three meters (10 feet), the cost of sewer line installation increases significantly because of the more complex and costly excavation equipment and trench shoring techniques required. The size of the gravity sewer lines is dependent on the minimum pipe slope and flow. Pumping waste-water can convey the same flow using smaller pipeline size at shallower depth, and thereby, reducing pipeline costs.
LET US HELP YOU!
Pump Outs Unlimited Inc is well equipped to get any job done , no matter how big or how small.

How do I Identify storm drains vs. sewer drains outside?
If it's a drain (ie it's designed to capture surface water than it is by definition storm. a catch basin is just a basin of any size used to capture sediment and debris and keep it from cloggin up a drainage system - if theres a grate then it's storm. Mahole covers are typically solid or mostly solid as opposed to storm which have a good number of holes or are grate like. Also it's important to point out that a number of cities will not have two separate systems. Difference between a storm drain and a catch basin - well a catch basin is merely part of a storm drain - it's the part that's designed to keep the rest of the system clear of sediment and such by capturing it in an accessible basin which is easy to clean out.

Miami Dade, Homestead, Monroe, Pembroke Pines, Hialeah, Medley, Coral Gables, Pincrest, Pine Shores, Miami Springs, Coral Springs, Septic Tank, Septic Tank maintenance,
There are a number of different septic systems, each with its own design. The conventional system is the one most commonly used in North Carolina. It consists of three main parts: the septic tank, the drainfield, and the soil beneath the drainfield.
The septic tank is a watertight concrete box about9 feet long and 5 feet tall. It is buried in the ground just outside the home. The tank is usually precast from reinforced concrete and can be purchased from concrete manufacturers. While typically designed with a 1,000-gallon liquid capacity, the size of the tank is legally determined by the number of bedrooms in the home. The tank temporarily holds household wastes and allows a small amount of pretreatment to take place.
The tank is connected to the drainfield by a buried pipe. A typical drainfield consists of two to five trenches excavated into the subsoil. In many systems, a distribution box or a flow divider helps move wastewater to each trench. In most conventional septic systems, the trenches are3 feet wide, 2 to 3 feet deep, and 9 feet apart. In each trench, a 1-foot thick layer of washed gravel or stone is placed around a 4-inch-diameter perforated distribution pipe. After the trenches are covered with soil, the area must be landscaped to keep surface waters from ponding over the drainfield.
The drainfield has also been called the nitrification field or the soil absorption field. The sole purpose of the drainfield is to deliver wastewater to the soil. The soil purifies the wastewater by removing the germs and chemicals before they reach the groundwater or any adjacent surface waters such as rivers, lakes, and estuaries.
